The Dr. Paulina R. Van Perinatal Nursing Scholarship was created in 2020 to provide vital financial assistance to SMU nursing students. In honor of Dr. Paulina Van’s five decades of transformative nursing, teaching, and service — her pioneering work integrating cultural humility, healing arts and public health into the curriculum, her advocacy for under-resourced communities, and her deeply felt commitment to health equity — we invite you to join us in continuing her legacy by contributing to the Dr. Paulina Van Perinatal Nursing Scholarship.
