2024 is Our 50th Milestone Reunion Year
As we approach the milestone of our 50th reunion, we are filled with excitement and nostalgia, eager to reconnect and celebrate the incredible journey we've all shared. This reunion event is not just a chance to reminisce about our cherished memories and accomplishments, but it is also an opportunity to catch up on the diverse paths our lives have taken since graduation.
Let's come together to honor our past, celebrate our present, and look forward to the future with the same enthusiasm and camaraderie that defined our time together. We can't wait to see each of you and make new memories at our 50th reunion!
Reunion Details
Our reunion is scheduled for Tuesday, October 15 – Thursday, October 17, with Wednesday being the key reunion day in Napa, CA. France Markoff is the primary organizer for the Napa gathering (and many wonderful past reunions). We anticipate 35-40 people to be in attendance.
Our Class Scholarship Fundraiser Goal
To commemorate this milestone year, we are asking you to join us in giving to create a one-time "Class of 1974 Nursing Scholarship". Our goal is to raise $1,500 to support a single student. Please give what you can. We look forward to the University Advancement team sharing the letter of "thanks" from the student!
Example of Scholarship Impact
Brittney Braker, BSN ’21, has known since high school that nursing was her calling and began taking nursing classes after graduating early. She knows it would not have been possible without the support she received at the University, including the Dr. Paulina R. Van Perinatal Nursing Scholarship she received during her last semester.
“I could not have made it through nursing school without scholarships,” Brittney says. “This one specifically made a huge impact. The financial impact was so appreciated, but beyond that, the scholarship criteria matched me perfectly—the scholarship supports women of color interested in maternal and infant nursing. On top of that, Dr. Van is a woman of color and supports other women of color. When I see women like that, it’s inspiring to me.”
